Starting Astrophotography? Here are my recommendations (YouTube) for Astrophotography and Astronomy
You must have been visited many websites and viewed many YouTube videos regarding astrophotography and astronomy but you might not have found trustworthy blogs or YouTube videos/channels to rely on. This is today's internet world problem. A lot of information is available on everything but is it legit or not. We can't say!
I might not be able to give you a good suggestion in other things but I can recommend you some really good YouTube sources regarding astrophotography and astronomy, to get inspired.
Here are my three YouTube recommendations
Star Stuff
Star Stuff is owned by Dylan O'Donnell, an Australian Astrophotographer. I love the way he explains things and stays very honest with his opinions. He don't care whether you liked his advice or not, he will say his words. You will feel very friendly vibe on his channel.
Dylan has a very deep sense of astrophotography and related equipment. He is also working with Celestron. He has covered all the basics to complex topics in his channel. I like the variety and relatability of the content. His astrophotography also got featured by NASA and ESA.
Astro Backyard
Astro Backyard is getting popular among beginners on Youtube for astrophotography. This is Trevor Jones's channel, an ametuer astrophotographer. He is showing his whole process of taking deep sky objects like Galaxies, Nebulae, Globular Clusters etc in his channel. He also has various tutorial videos on editing celestial objects.
Trevor is a very passionate guy and has his own way of learning things. He is totally into Astrophotography these days. I like his hard work and the way he is continuously producing good content for learners on YouTube. He has a very good setup for observing the night sky at his home, a dome, many big tubes and many mounts.
Nebula Photos
Nebula Photos channel is very "to the point" like my suggestions Haha and a very beginners friendly channel. It's a great place to start your astronomy/astrophotography journey. This channel is owned by Nico Carver. He is also an ametuer astrophotographer. You will understand many basic and complex topics from him and he is really very good at explaining things.
All above mentioned recommendations are equally good. There is nothing like "this one is best or that one". All are great sources of learning new things in astronomy/astrophotography. Also, No matter where you are on your astro journey, you will definitely learn something new every time from these guys. I am also learning and I will always learn from them. Keep my name in your mind, if you will find my recommendations useful Haha. Thanks for reading.
